Hi Guys,Here is a region hack for the BD-P1000 player - have tried it and it worksfor DVD - i dont have any region 1 Blu Ray discs yet so would appreciate itif you could let me know if it works:Try at your own risk however, like I say worked for me for DVD just need to try BLU-RAYRegion code hack posted by Almada, December 11 2006:Multi-Region on a Samsung BD-P1000 R2:1. Switch on unit2. Remove any disc3. Wait fo NO DISC message4. Press REPEAT on the remote control (NOT REPEAT A-B)5.

Hi everyone, i modded my blueray 1000 player so it plays usa bluerays instead of just region b australia.,also done the region 0 mod via the remote and it does every region now dvd.the blueray sw on my player was saying region b/4. Now it says all up ldr t22f/front 23,psd 80612.1,dmn 0609 29.01,all i did was burn to dvd the latest firmware for the 1000 from the usa site which is 54mhz about and ran it for about 35 mins via the player then i turned it off then back on now,the firmware said it was for usa and canadian only firmware. So i guess its switched over to a region 1 blueray player from region b which i wanted bcz all my dvds blueray and normal 95% of them are a or region 1!!!i was just about to buy another blueray player but i dont have to now thanks to the usa firmware from the samsung site usa. It even is as clearer again on both dvd and blueray,id go for it,thanks david nsw australia.
